Virtual Bookkeeping and Working in the Cloud

"Virtual Bookkeeper"

Is that a real thing?

A virtual bookkeeper...

is a bookkeeper who works online. All of the programs I use are cloud-based. Working in the cloud allows you to access your data wherever you go, from any supporting device connected to the internet.  It removes the risk of a physical accident or careless storage of a device resulting in the loss of your data. You or your employees can make an invoice for your client, record an expense, or track mileage right from your phone or tablet. It also allows you, your authorized employees, and your bookkeeper to all access the same account, make updates or view data as needed in real time. The programs I use are also protected by the same level of security that your bank uses for your online banking. This means your business’s finances are as safe as modern technology can make them.

Having a virtual bookkeeper provides you with other benefits besides working in the cloud. I’m an independent contractor. You don’t have to calculate benefits, SSI or any of the other fun things that come with having an employee. If I take a vacation or need sick time, it's on me to make sure your business's needs are met while I'm away.

Finally, I don’t work by the hour. After reviewing your books and discussing your needs with you, we agree on a price per month for the services provided. There will never be any surprise about what my bill will be. There is no contract for the number of months we work together. If this sounds like a good fit for you then please contact me to set up your free consultation.
